Obra Philippines, a family-owned business in Marikina City, started during the pandemic, believes in the spiritual principle of serving one another with the gifts received, as mentioned in 1 Peter 4:10. Founded by entrepreneur and former OFW to Doha Qatar, Ms. Carlyn Aquino, Obra began with the launch of its first product, the Obra Lampara, in summer 2021. Blessed with opportunities for promotion on shows like Swak na Swak and Magbudget Tayo, Obra sells original Filipino-made fashion and handicrafts, using native materials sourced from various parts of the Philippines, including palm trees, fiber, jute, bamboo, and waste items from local communities.
Their lamps and lanterns are made from recycled bottles obtained from Marikina communities. Quilina’s Bakeshop is my homebased business that bakes cake, cupcakes and other desserts for all occasions. I also do my best to meet the design for custom cakes/cupcakes requests using Buttercream for covering and decorating my creations. Premium ingredients are used in everything I bake. The business was named after my maternal grandmother Tranquilina. She introduced me to the kitchen when I was nine years old. This is my way of giving honor to her; how she valued the quality of good tasting food. In Quilina’s Bakeshop, I make sure the cakes, cupcakes, baked desserts have the quality of homemade-goodness. Ms. Dulce Amor Licuanan Ledesma is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sabon De Organica. Her love for natural and organic soaps began in 2010 and inspired her to engage in selling organic bar soaps in the country. Her vision is to make quality and affordable organic soap accessible to more people in the Philippines.
